RollerCoaster Tycoon Inspired Game, Parkitect, Launching November 29th
I’ve had a close eye on Parkitect since is was released in early access on Steam nearly 2 years ago. It is the closest RollerCoaster Tycoon-inspired tycoon game I’ve seen. It’s come a long way having received some major updates. Now, it’s coming out for real on November 29th.
Version 1.0’s big feature is the addition of a campaign mode.
Tools to build the theme park of your dreams
A robust, piece-based roller coaster designer to let you build the greatest roller coaster you can think of
Detailed guest behaviors. Watch them take the train to that new section of the park, or read their map to find a ride
Build efficient transport infrastructures to keep your park stocked
Maintain the illusion by hiding utility structures and the inner workings of the park from guests using scenery
Extensive support for mods and custom content
It’s very close to RollerCoaster Tycoon 2 but a little bit deeper with guest AIs and customisation of your parks.
This one is definitely on my to get list. Expect a video on this a week or two after release. Note that the game’s price will increase a day before launch to USD$29.99. If you get it now while it’s still in early access, you only pay USD$19.99.
If you’re willing get it right now, you can purchase it from Humble Store which has a time-limited discount.
