Endless Expansions. New Expansion Packs for Endless Legends & Endless Space 2

Endless Expansions. New Expansion Packs for Endless Legends & Endless Space 2

Amplitude Studios announced recently announced expansion DLCs for Endless Legend and Endless Space 2. These DLCs add a new faction and some new feature to both games.

Endless Space 2 Supremacy

Supremacy adds a new faction called the Hisho, a militaristic bunch hell-bent on domination. They depend heavily on a new resource called the Keii which is only replenished through combat and can be used to power special abilities. Their society is ruled through obedience and honour.

Think of these guys as space samurais. The DLC also adds a new class of ships called the Behemoths.

Those gigantic ships are remnants from the mysterious Endless era. While extremely deadly and versatile in their original state, their ultimate purpose is to evolve and become specialized.

Supremacy launches on 3rd August and is price at USD$12.99 (RM35)

Endless Legend Inferno

The Kapaku are a new race that gain powerful buffs while on volcanic tiles. If they aren't around volcanic tiles, they can use Lavaformation to change any terrain into a volcanic tile permanently. Making it better for them and bad for other races.

Volcanic terrain will be a new addition in this DLC

Lava Terrain is inhospitable, but what it lacks in food it more than makes up for in industry, science or dust. It is a rough starting position for most species, but if leveraged properly it can quickly turn middling cities into powerful production centers. Along with this new savage lands, we are also adding new “Volcanic Anomalies” providing even more incentives to venture into these barren hellscapes.

Inferno releases 2nd August and is priced at USD$12.99 (RM35)

Endless Legend was one of my favourite fantasy 4X games with a strong emphasis on unique factions and quests.

Endless Space 2 was supposed to be a sequel that followed the story-focused direction of Endless Legend but didn't really capture the brilliance of Endless Legend.

It was too sterile, too uninteresting. Perhaps this expansion will make it better. Personally for me, it's been difficult to go back to any 4X space game after playing Stellaris.

In Stellaris, you never know what faction you'll see in your game as the possibilities of different faction types were endless (no pun intended). Going back to a 4X that had fixed factions is difficult, but if it had more interesting stories, that might be enough ti make up for it.

I'll definitely be giving the Supremacy DLC a go when it releases. What do you think of Endless Space 2? Will you be getting these DLCs? Comment below.
