Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 Releasing on January 24th, 2019. Beta Begins in December
Big hulking gothic ships blowing other ships in space simulator (I kid, it’s an RTS) Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 has got a finalised released date. It’s coming out for the PC on January 24th, 2019.
The game was originally planned for release in September this year but was pushed back to January 2019 to give it more time for polish.
After all Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 is a much more ambitious game than the first. In multiplayer is will feature all 12 factions from the table-top game:
The Imperial Navy
The T’au Merchant and Protector Fleets
There’ll also be three single player campaigns focused on the Imperium, Tyranids and Necrons. This is going to be one of the games I have to have in 2019.
Tindalos Interactive, the developers of the game, explained that there will be two phases of Beta for those that pre-order the game.
Beta 1 will be solely a multiplayer beta with all 12 factions playable in multiplayer. This begins in early December and will also include the multiplayer progression system.
Beta 2 will be available in January 2019 and will include multiplayer as well as the prologue single player campaign and the first sectors of 2 campaigns.
The first game had a pretty steep difficulty that required some high-level skills in anticipating enemy movement and timing.
Hopefully this time they’ve given not so leet players like myself a much more in-depth tutorial and easy to use UI to make the whole process of getting better at the battles a whole lot less painful.
You can pre-order it now for USD$39.99. You can use the Humble Store link I’ve provided below.
