Cities Skylines' Newest DLC, Parklife, Ain't My Cup of Tea
Since the day Cities Skylines was released, I've been purchasing all the new DLCs they've released. Most of them have done a splendid job of adding another interesting twist to the city management aspect of the game. But the newest DLC, Parklife, might be the first DLC that I might pass.
It's been getting some positive reviews, I realise that. The idea of having a completely new layer, in fact a new game of sorts in the city builder game is neat. You can zone park district, set up your park routes, set tour guide, entry ticket pricing, rollercoasters... sounds like theme park tycoon game.
And that is precisely my point. I want new DLCs that improve on city management. Focus on traffic, disasters, weather, cleaner cities... all done with previous DLCs. Parklife is a slight tangent. A diversion off the main path of city building.
I get it, some of you love to make your cities prettier and yeah parks are cool. But I'd like to play a city builder. I'm not mad about it though as with all DLCs, they are optional. If you dig the idea of building your own park or theme park in Cities Skylines, you can get Parklife on Steam for RM32 or your regional equivalent.
If you're playing this, tell me what you think about Parklife. What's your favourite thing about it. Who knows, you might just convince me.
